Welcome to Victoria

Victoria is rich in history and in resilience. The region originally was discovered in 1530 a mere 38 years after Columbus discovered America. French and Spanish settlers built forts and missions throughout the area and continued to try to tame the land and harvest the resources here. The French spent much of the 1600's trying to settle here and in 1689 a Spanish expedition found the Guadalupe River and expected to rid the territory of the French. In 1722 a mission was built in what is now Mission Valley. It was in 1824 that Martin DeLeon started his new city of Victoria.

Victorian's are a hard-working resilient people who have survived the Booms and Busts of Cattle on The Chisholm Trail, cotton, the closing of two airbases after WWII and oil. They value their land, their neighbors and their natural resources. Today The Victoria Region is still a large agricultural and cattle producing region. It is also one of the largest natural gas regions in North America and the oil and gas exploration and production industry is still thriving here generation after generation.

Steve Klein has been a part of Victoria since 1982 continuously working with community leaders and major employers in meeting the demand for affordable, high quality homes in all price ranges. We continue to design and build our developments and our homes to the needs of the region.
